Title Red Sauce (All Day Gravy) 
Preparation time 7 hours 
Servings 10 or more 
Ingredients 1 Can tomato paste (small)
3 Cans crushed tomatoes (large)
3-4 cloves garlic
1/2 Tbsp salt (to start with, adjust accordingly)
1 Tsp pepper
1 Tbsp dried basil
1 lb Italian sausage
1 lb boneless pork
Olive oil 
Method Cover bottom of 6 quart pan with olive oil over medium heat. Add sausage and pork to brown. Remove meat and heat. Add can of paste + 2/3 can of water and whisk until smooth and all bits are incorporated from bottom of pan.
Add crushed tomatoes and whisk. Add salt, pepper, basil and garlic. Add meat and simmer for 5 hours on ultra low or until gravy thickens. Add cooked meatballs 15 minutes before serving.
